The Swedish PhD requires at least 4 years of medical research, multiple peer-reviewed research articles as first author (available via PubMed), and a successful public defense of a Doctoral thesis, available via the Swedish public library. The Swedish Master's degree is equivalent to a US Undergraduate and Master's degree, combined into one continuous, integrated program.
Throughout my education I have worked with faculty from Karolinska Institutet and KOLs from the pharmaceutical industry to identify key focus areas in medical research and improve the quality of the Biomedical program. Karolinska Institutet is one of the world's leading medical universities, with the privilege of each year selecting the Nobel Prize laureates in Physiology or Medicine.
